Student Of The Year 2, The Jawaani Song: Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria Add Spunk To Burman’s Classic

The makers of Student of the Year 2 have released the first track titled The Jawaani Song. It’s an official remake of Kishore Kumar’s hit classic from the 1972 film, Jawani Diwani. While the original one starred Randhir Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan, the reprised version has Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria burning the dance floor.
The Jawaani Song is sure to feature in the list of the top party numbers of the season. The premise is a glamorous dance face-off and we see the trio along with Aditya Seal gyrating on the fast beats. It is sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal Dev, the music producer is Aditya Dev with additional lyrics by Anvita Dutt. The song has retained the voice of Kishore Kumar in several places, to add a touch of nostalgia. Here’s the video:
The Jawaani Song reminds us of Disco Deewane from Student of the Year that had a similar set-up. It had Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in a face-off and this time, the new batch of 2019 has Tiger Shroff with the newbies. While, we all know that Tiger is a fabulous dancer, the girls too put in their best foot forward.
Recently, the trailer of SOTY 2 was unveiled and it earned praise. At the trailer launch, the trio braved several questions on the film and their chemistry with each other. Also, Tara crooned the Lag Jaa Gale song for the audience and won the hearts of everyone with her soulful rendition of the classic.
Student of the Year 2 is directed by Punit Malhotra, produced by Karan Johar. The movie is scheduled to release on May 10, 2019.
